ABOUT TIOGA

Tioga Downs harness track is located right off NYS Route 17, exit 62 in Nichols, New York. The town of Nichols is in Tioga County, in the Southern Tier of New York  State, just north of the Pennsylvania state line. The facility has 372 stalls in 6 barns.  Each barn consists of 62 stalls, 4 wash stalls, and  offices.  The backstretch is open from April lst.to September 30th. The track is 5/8`s oval, with a stonedust surface.  It is a traditional track with a no passing lane and is rebanked and resurfaced each year by Greg Coon.  The track is designed to reduce the concussion on the horse by 70%. Tioga will race May 2nd through September 12th, 2009.  Racing Friday and Saturdays, Post Time 6:50 pm.  Sundays, PostTime 1:30 pm.

The racino contains 775 video gaming machines and a simulcast theater. It also offers the County Fair Buffet (discounts given to horsemen), Coasters Sports Bar, Carousel Bar, Subway and  BBQ tent in front of the grandstand.
